Clear Blue Skies
Juggaknots
This track has one of the illest storylines, with the Juggaknots looking at racism and giving it a Hip-Hop perspective seldom heard. Very nice!

Q Tube! Diggin in the tubes for Hip-Hop tunes!

Heres a short list of some classic Hip-Hop songs and assorted funkeness, all found while surfing YouTube. I have been hitting up my EgoTrip Book Of Rap List book pretty hard lately, so sorry if the inspirations sounds like I'm biting!
=====================================
The Original Version::
Shogun Assassin

The New & Improved Lick::
GZA
Shadowboxin/4th Chamber
Bonus points for the two fer one blessing on the video. The ill production of 4th Chamber is fitted perfectly with the Shogun sound clip!

Old School Beef
Kool Moe Dee vs LL Cool J
One of the last of the great rap battles, this one seemed to go on forever. Dee was funny with it on his album cover, with the the jeep riding over the red Kangol. The battle never seemed to get to out of hand, but the songs were pretty tight!

Kool Moe Dee
How You Like Me Know

L.L. Cool J
Jack The Ripper

Let's Go
Kool Moe Dee
Moe Dee tries to come back from Jack The Ripper. You be the judge.

L.L. Cool J
To The Break Of Dawn
LL took it too a few folks on this one, as he hemmed up Ice-T and Kool Moe Dee at the same time. Daayyum! Got the nerve to have those Star Trek shades on.

Kool Moe Dee
Death Blow
Dee made a video for this one? Damn, I slept on it! That shit is too funny, with the fake Cool J in the boxing ring! Ya swallowed it? yeah..you finished? BURP!" Classic hip hip ish!

=====================================

Prime Minister Pete Nice & Daddy Rich
Rat Bastard
Wow, how ill is this track? Pete Nice, the first white rapper, releases some steam, sometime after the mighty 3rd Bass broke up. These dude were packing alot of guns back then, and f'in shit up all over New York in this Brett Ratner directed classic!

T.I. contines "No Matter What "

taken from press release:

Grand Hustle/Atlantic recording artist T.I. has unveiled further details of his much-anticipated new album, “PAPER TRAIL.” The multiple Grammy Award-winning superstar will release the follow-up to 2007’s RIAA platinum-certified “T.I. vs T.I.P.” on September 9th.

“I just want everyone to know that it’s coming out and that I’m going to answer a lot of questions in the music,” the ATL-based rapper says of “PAPER TRAIL.” “It’s intense and insightful; it’s gonna shake up the game and it’s me at my best.”

“PAPER TRAIL” has been heralded by the street track, “No Matter What,” on which T.I. directly addresses his current life situation. The track – produced by Danjahandz (Timbaland, 50 Cent, Mariah Carey, Danity Kane) – has been building momentum organically, scoring major airplay at Urban and Rhythmic radio outlets nationwide. The song’s companion video is now in “Medium” rotation at BET and in “Heavy” rotation on the network’s Rap City. At MTV, “No Matter What” is in rotation across the spectrum, including MTV, MTV2, mtvU, MTV Hits, and MTV Jams (where it was recently “Jam of the Week”).

The album’s first official single, “Whatever You Like,” has just hit radio outlets nationwide. The song was produced by Jim Jonsin, whose many credits include Lil Wayne’s current #1 smash, “Lollipop.” In addition, “Swing Your Rag,” a brand-new Swizz Beatz-produced track from “PAPER TRAIL,” has just been added to the player on T.I.’s MySpace page, located at www.trapmuzik.com.

Soulja Boy Told Him!

Ice T was recently heard airing his thoughts on Hip-Hop in general, and on Souljah Boy and Hurricane Chris in particular. The OG of West Coast Hip-Hop didn't bite his tongue either, and had some rather choice words for the teenage rap phenom. Basically, Ice says that SB has single handedly killed Hip-Hop, and that Soulja Boy can "eat a d***". He had some strong words for Hurricane Chris as well, and his thoughts on the entire issue!

Soulja Boy has responded, with a video that looks like it was shot in his mom's living room. He address the whole incident, and hits Ice-T with a few good jabs. The funny thing about the clip is that, Soulja Boy actually sound much more articulate and mature in his responses, once he stops laughing at how old Ice-T is. In between him snapping on Coco's man, he has a few moments of clarity and addresses Ice T in a direct manner. At one point he looks into the camera and tells T that he should be ashamed of himself for talking to a teenager like that. On that part, I agree.

I think the whole thing is funny...everybody know Souljah Boy aint Hip-Hop like Rakim, KRS, or Nas. SB even seems to acknowledge that and gives it up to the old school. On the low, I'm pretty sure he is tired of his own songs just as much as we are. Yeah the songs are annoying, but when grown folks curse him, he seems to handle it in a more mature manner, if that's possible for a 17 year old who runs around saying yeaaw, or whatever the hell it is SB says in that song.

The OGs come off worse in the long run, sad to say, as Ice-T's eat a dick comment will go down in hostory as either a Michael Jackson moment, or child abuse case

I joke..I kid...

Souljah Boy was right about another thing too. Ice T does have a new album coming out. It's called Black Ice , and I'm going to the album release party in Long Beach Tuesday June 24th. Should be a hell of a night. If I get a chance, I'll ask Ice about the whole thing, see what he has to say! Stay tuned!

It was all a dream.....con faked Fed papers, LATimes apologizes for Tupac story

Wow...I am just now really putting all this info together that went down with the LA Times/AP story that ran a few weeks back, implicating Sean Combs among others, to the Tupac shooting in New York. It has turned into quite the drama of it own, as both the Times and AP have retracted the story, with the source of the information being basically called a liar,con man and impostor. The documents that was said to be the proof, turned out to be fake. Meanwhile, several news organizations ran with the story, and Hip-Hop's ever watchful eye focused in on the news. The man charater in this Hip-Hop drama is a man named James Sabatino.

Tupac Papers Were Phony, L.A. Times Says in Apology

"In relying on documents that I now believe were fake, I failed to do my job," Chuck Philips, the story's Pulitzer Prize-winning author, said in a statement. "I'm sorry." Deputy Managing Editor Marc Duvoisin also took responsibility, saying: "We should not have let ourselves be fooled. . . . I deeply regret that we let our readers down."

FBI To L.A. Times: Tupac Documents Fake

Newspaper sorry for Tupac claim

Big Fat Liar-The Smoking Gun article

quote from TSG

The Times appears to have been hoaxed by an imprisoned con man and accomplished document forger, an audacious swindler who has created a fantasy world in which he managed hip-hop luminaries, conducted business with Combs, Shakur, Busta Rhymes, and The Notorious B.I.G., and even served as Combs's trusted emissary to Death Row Records boss Marion "Suge" Knight during the outset of hostilities in the bloody East Coast-West Coast rap feud.
